Haïti-Diplomatie : 24 jeunes cadres intègrent la diplomatie haïtienne sur la base de la méritocratie
P-au-P., 24 juil. 2020 [M9H] — Le président de la République, Jovenel Moïse a reçu le jeudi 23 juillet 2020 au Palais national, les 24 jeunes cadres du Ministère des Affaires Etrangères et des Cultes qui vont intégrer les missions diplomatiques et consulaires d’Haïti en terre étrangère.
Ces jeunes vont intégrer la diplomatie haïtienne moins de deux semaines après que Claude Joseph, le Ministre des Affaires Étrangères, a procédé au rappel en Haïti de 13 diplomates haïtiens en provenance de 9 pays dont 4 ambassadeurs et 9 autres diplomates.
A en croire le Chancelier Claude Joseph, le rappel de ces diplomates n’était pas des sanctions mais de préférence qu’ils s’inscrivaient dans le cadre normal de la rotation du personnel diplomatique afin de laisser la place à une génération plus jeune et compétente qui doit acquérir de l’expérience en mission à l’étranger. Certains de ces diplomates rappelés, ont entre 10 et 23 ans de carrière.
Au cours d’une cérémonie réalisée au Palais national, ces 24 jeunes cadres ont reçu leur lettre de transfert des mains du président de la République, Jovenel Moïse, qui dit éprouver une grande fierté en les accueillant.
« Les 24 jeunes de la Chancellerie qui vont intégrer nos Missions diplomatiques et Consulaires sont, par-dessus tout, de jeunes professionnels, des patriotes engagés. Leur recrutement a été réalisé sur la base du mérite, sans aucune forme de clientélisme ou d’influence politique » a twitté le chef de l’Etat.
Le premier mandataire de la nation a indiqué que les diplomates qui partent en mission très bientôt, ont été sélectionnés sur des critères qui privilégient le savoir, la technicité, le relationnel, la capacité à défendre les intérêts d’Haïti auprès des Etats accrédités.
Ainsi, il les rappelle qu’ils vont en mission en terres étrangères pour servir le pays et pour redorer son image trop souvent ternie.
Le locataire du palais national invite ces jeunes cadres à défendre le pays dans une logique gagnant-gagnant dans tous les domaines liés à la coopération internationale.
Cette cérémonie de remise de lettre de transfert s’est déroulée en présence du premier ministre Joseph Jouthe, du Chancelier haïtien, le docteur Claude Joseph et de plusieurs cadres du Ministère des Affaires Étrangères et des cultes.
